The Best Yogurt Ever

Posted on

It's better than my mom's. And that's rare.

I am a huge yogurt fan.  I have tried the most expensive to the cheapest.  I really dislike Yoplait, but I love my mom’s.  Fresh yogurt is amazing, Greek has a tangy bite that is just perfect, and then they made the perfect one: Noosa.  Never heard of it?  I have only seen it in two places: Sprouts in Austin and the Central Market in Denver.  It’s expensive, but, I swear, it less than a scoop of ice cream at Marble Slab.  You can’t stop eating it, but it’s soo good for you!  Fresh fruit, fresh organic ingredients, and this silky, smooth texture that cannot be replicated.  It has less sugars than all those other brands and less fat.  We tried to save it over a week, but it lasted 3 days.  I tried to eat only 6 heavenly bites a day, but I would sneak one after dinner and before bed (don’t tell RMK).

Small bits of fresh berries.

Cast Iron Tea Pot...Amazing and will last for many generations

Play on words, I know I know.  But, RMK and I are huge tea drinkers. Well he way more than me.  We have a teavana pot his mom bought us that soaks in the tea flavor over time.  It’s made of cast iron so it stays hot for hours.  But I am a connoisseur on traveling tea mugs.  I have had ones that spill, ones that get too hot, ones that break, etc.  These were some of the best and the worst we have had…

Starbucks Tumbler

Starbuck’s Tumbler with Handle
This thing is awesome.  RMK has thrown this thing in the back of his truck, flung it all over the ground, which I have not figured out why yet, and dropped it thousands of time.  Still alive!  No spill.  No heat.  I personally dislike the handle because I want to slip it on my backpack side pocket, but that is being picky.

Starbuck’s Green City Tumbler
This lid is a twist shut lid that is actually quite hard to clean when someone such as RMK forgets its in the garage for 3 months.  I boiled it, used a q-tip, used a knife and could NOT get out the tea residue.  But if you actually took care of it, this thing is spill proof and really awesome.

Starbucks Goes Green

Teavana Heaven

Harmony Glass Tea Tumbler
This thing is beautiful.  Not too hot but warm, and will infuse the tea if you are in a real rush.  One of my favorites.

Book of Joe Tea Mug (I bought mine at Harry and David)
This thing is awesome for even instant coffee.  It has many parts so it’s a hassle to clean and makes a clinking noise when you carry it.

Bodum.

Our least favorite tea product.  We got a tea pot infuser.  This thing is made of the most fragile glass and will crack after many uses.  Definitely looks more stylish than most companies…but you trade it for quality.  I have also heard a lot of people complain about them breaking.

J.Crew’s Queen Jenna Lyons

I have a lot of friends that adore J. Crew.  And if you know me, I am not one of them.  I think they can be overpriced, they don’t fit the volumptious or the curvy, and they rarely change out of their classic white American look.  BUT, they do have good style.  I have never doubted them on this.

And who sets the style: Jenna Lyons.  If you have ever seen her, she is the quintessential J Crew body.  Tall, thin, long-legged…But I will tell you this, she has the dream job for sure.  I want to sit at the edge of my bed every morning overly excited for my day to begin.

You can view a day in her life here.  I don’t know who dresses in glittery jeans to get her son ready for school…but then again, I can’t pull off glitter jeans.
